| SUBJECT: | Year 2000 Compliance on Matsushita Communication Industrial / Audio Video Systems Division (MCI / AVSD) products |
Please be advised that all products that have been manufactured by MCI / AVSD comply with the Year 2000.
The Product Model Numbers manufactured by MCI / AVSD are:
| GP-XXXX, WB-XXXX, WE-XXXX, WG-XXXX, WJ-XXXX, WR-XXXX, WV-XXXX, AND WZ-XXXX. |
MCI / AVSD has actually tested the Year 2000 compliancy for current products which have software, as well as for products that will be developed after September, 1998 as listed on the attached table.
For products which have been developed before August, 1998, MCI / AVSD could not actually test the products because of non-availability of evaluation sample, but we trust that these will also comply with the Year 2000.
MCI / AVSD have tested their products based on the following points:
- If the calendar setting can be changed for and after the year 2000 or not.
- If the timer function works after the year 2000 or not.
- If "00" (2000) is positioned after "99" (1999) or not, when sorting the year.
- If the error occurs or not, when the "00" is entered.
- If the software recognized a leap year or not.
